The Balanced Body Pilates Mat teacher training includes the complete Pilates Mat repertoire as well as an introduction to the movement principles that make Pilates such a successful exercise program. Modifications and variations are included to help you successfully teach a wide range of clients. The Balanced Body Pilates Mat training will empower you to become a successful, creative and transformative Pilates teacher. Our Mat teacher training program includes:

  • Exercise instruction in the complete Pilates Mat repertoire

  • A comprehensive manual consistent with current national standards

  • Cuing, coaching and teaching tips for clients at different levels of ability

  • Safety information for teaching older adults, pre- and post-natal women, and clients with back, knee, neck and shoulder conditions

The Pilates Reformer is an extraordinarily flexible piece of exercise equipment allowing resistance and support for exercises involving every part of the body. Our program gives you a thorough understanding of how to use the Reformer to develop core and extremity strength, stability, flexibility, coordination and balance. The wide range of exercises provides a stimulating workout for clients at any level of ability. Our Reformer teacher training program includes:

  • Exercise instruction in the complete Pilates Reformer repertoire

  • A comprehensive manual consistent with current national standards

  • Cuing, coaching, safety and teaching tips for clients at different levels of ability

  • Guidelines for teaching older adults, pre- and post-natal women, and clients with back, knee, neck and shoulder conditions

  • Program design for clients at every level including sports specific lessons

  • Equipment safety and maintenance

& BB Program is designed to create thoughtful, creative and successful Pilates teachers. Our curriculum emphasizes the principles underlying each exercise. Courses are modular and progressive, allowing students to build on their education and training in the way that works best for them. These courses are also a great opportunity for certified instructors to learn new teaching tools and for renewed inspiration.. Our Comprehensive teacher training program includes:

  • All Mat, Reformer and Apparatus modules

  • Reformer practical hours (150 hours total)

MOTR® comprehensive (16 hours)

The MOTR combines the core training of Pilates, the strength and power of aerobic conditioning, the functional exercises of a pulley system and the balance and release exercises of a foam roller, MOTR gives you everything you need to teach classes, small group or one on one training. MOTR is the ideal compliment to a Pilates, personal training or rehabilitation practice enhancing balance, aerobic capacity, strength and flexibility while performing fun, functional exercises clients respond to and enjoy.

  • The comprehensive MOTR instructor training includes instruction on all the MOTR exercises and variations and gives instructors everything they need to teach a variety of formats from small group personal training to circuit training to private sessions.

  • You will learn to perform, teach and cue MOTR exercises in all positions to increase your confidence and get you ready to teach.

  • Based on the Balanced Body Movement Principles you will discover how easy it is to design and deliver dynamic classes using the Balanced Body Programming System.

  • The combination is designed to help you understand the purpose of each exercise, common regressions and progressions and how to program classes for students of all kinds.

Bodhi Suspension System® Instructor Training

Balanced Body brings the precision and movement principles of Pilates to suspension training with the Bodhi Suspension System™. Leaning into the ropes takes the body out of alignment with gravity causing the core stability muscles to fire and developing integrated, whole body strength and flexibility. Bodhi’s four points of suspension maximize strength training and enhance proprioception while providing endless opportunities for creativity.

Bodhi Suspension System® Comprehensive
16 Hours – 2 Days

  • This two day course delves deeper into suspension training and how it changes the body

  • You will not only learn and practice Bodhi exercises in each position, but you will teach, explore and learn how to successfully cue clients of all abilities to maximize the strengths of the Bodhi system.

  • You will also discover how easy it is to design and deliver dynamic classes using our Balanced Body Programming System to help you understand the purpose of each exercise, common regressions and progressions and how to modify for clients at any level of ability.
